Chapter President Lary’s New Years Message:

Father Time is taking the year 2021 away as the baby new year of 2022 is arriving. Last year (2021) was a year that presented us with many challenges such as  a series of lock downs, restrictions on travel, shopping, eating, attending church services & other events.  It was a year of wearing a mask and a face shield, but as the year progressed, the restrictions began to slowly (ever so slowly) disappear. Now we are free to travel (with few restrictions remaining), attend church, shop, eat, and pretty much do what we want while only wearing a mask. We lost a few Chapter PI887 members, loved ones, friends & acquaintances. While we mourn those who have passed, we must remember the reason God sent them to become a part of our lives & reflect on the joy of their presence, but above all, the love they shared with us.

Personally, I truly believe the coming new year 2022, will be so much better. Three words come to mind,  FAITH – HOPE – LOVE.  When we have unwavering FAITH in our Lord and Savior and his plan for the future, there will be better things to come.  Have HOPE and work together for a better future and continue to help those that are less well off than we are.  LOVE for a wonderful “MAN UPSTAIRS” who wants us to have FAITH – HOPE – LOVE, then all will be well.

I have been & continue to be honored to represent Chapter PI887 as your president. Thanks to you, The Members, we accomplished a lot in 2021 despite the adverse circumstances. YOU are what makes this VVA Chapter great. The coming new year 2022, I pray will be less challenging and allow this chapter to achieve even more.

I thank you guys from the bottom of my pea-picking heart & from me, my wife Maine and our family we wish you, the VVA Chapter PI887 family a wonderful, prosperous, and healthy HAPPY NEW YEAR. Let’s get off on the right foot by showing up en masse for our General Membership Meeting this coming Tuesday, January 4th at 2 PM in A.L. Post 123’s Outdoor Patio. Hoping to see a good crowd.
