It is the sad duty of the American Legion Department of the Philippines’ Office to inform you that Several Comrades have Fallen and they are:
Case # 21-43
Don Allan Dinio – Sgt U.S. Army Retired, age 71, passed away unexpectedly after a Brief Illness on Friday, the 23rd April 2021 at the
Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (ONA) in Angeles City.
In compliance with the Philippines Health and Safety protocol instructions, the Fallen Comrade was Directly Cremated on Sunday 25th of April 2021 at the La Pieta Crematorium in Angeles City.
Rendering of Military Honors by the VFW Post 2485 Honor Guard for the Fallen will be held at a later date. The Fallen Comrade will be laid Rest at the Holy Mary Memorial Park following the Military Honors.

Keith Eugene Christiansen – U.S. Army Veteran, age 70, passed away after a Short illness on Monday, the 26th April 2021 at his Residence in Angeles City.
Rendering of Military Honors by the VFW Post 2485 Honor Guard for the Fallen will be held at a later date. The Fallen Comrade will be laid Rest on Thursday the 29 of April 2021 at the La Pieta Memorial Park.

James Oliverio Chavez – CSM U.S. Army Retired, age 61, passed away after a Brief illness on Monday, the 22nd April 2021 at his Residence in Batangas City.
The family will request the Rendering of Military Honors by VFW Post 2485 and the Fallen Comrade will be laid to Rest with an Inurnment Burial at Local Cemetery in Batangas.

Salvador Cadena Jr. – SFC U.S. Army Retired, age 69, passed away on Saturday, 3rd April 2021 at Metro North Medical Center and Hospital Inc. in Quezon City.
In compliance with the Philippines Health and Safety protocol instructions, the Fallen Comrade was Directly Cremated on Tuesday, 6th of April 2021 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Quezon City.
The family will request the Rendering of Military Honors by VFW Post 2485 and followed by an Inurnment Burial at Clark Veterans Cemetery, CFZ, Angeles City.
In compliance with the health and safety protocols imposed by the Local Authorities, there will be no Rendering of Military Honors or Inurnment Burials at Clark Veterans Cemetery until further notice. A further announcement will be posted as to when the burial of our Fallen Comrades once the restriction is lifted.
Currently we have Four (4) Fallen Comrades that are on hold for Military Honors and Burial due to Health and Safety protocols imposed by Local Authorities. The date of Military Honors or Burials will be announced once the restrictions are lifted.

However, the following requirements will be required by ABMC and VA for All Internment and Inurnment Burial and they are
- No more than Twenty-Five Family Members may attend
- All Attendees Must Maintain the Required Social Distancing
- All Attendees Must Wear Face Mask and Shield
All Military Honors will be held at Gate 1 Area of Clark Veterans Cemetery at Clark Freeport Zone in Angeles City.
Parking for the Services will be at Gate 2 Parking Area at Clark Veterans Cemetery at Clark Freeport Zone in Angeles City

Quincy Bernard Murry – U.S. Military Veteran age 87, passed away unexpectedly at his Residence on Wednesday, the 27th of March 2021 in Angeles City.

Marlin Haynes – U.S. Air Force Veteran age 51, passed away unexpectedly after a Brief illness at the St Raphael Foundation and Medical Center on Monday the 29th of March 2021 in Dau Mabalacat City.
Currently, the American Legion Department of the Philippines Burial Consultant is being assisted by the U.S. Embassy in Locating Family Members and Validating the Fallen Comrades Military Services.
The American Legion Department of the Philippines Burial Consultant is waiting for release by the US Embassy to Bury the Fallen Comrades at Clark Veterans Cemetery once it is determined that there are no known relatives.

Roger William Limle -SCPO U.S. Navy Retired, age 77, passed away after a long illness on the 13th of November 2020, in Lorma Medical Center San Fernando City, La Union.
The family will request in the July / August time frame the Rendering of Military Honors by VFW Post 2485 and the FRA San Miguel Branch 367 of San Antonio to Conduct the Two Bell Ceremony and an Inurnment Burial at Clark Veterans Cemetery, CFZ, Angeles City.

Lawrence B. McGuire – U.S. Air Force Veteran, age 70passed away Unexpectedly Late Monday Afternoon the 7th of December 2020 at The Medical City Clark, Clark Freeport Zone Mabalacat City.
In compliance with the Philippines Health and Safety protocol instructions, the Fallen Comrade was Directly Cremated on Thursday the 10th of December 2020 at the Angeles City Public Cemetery and Crematorium in Barangay Sapalibutad Angeles City.

Kevin A Stevenson – CS 1 US Navy Retired, age 57passed away Unexpectedly shortly after the Fallen Comrades Arrival on Tuesday the 2nd of February 2021.
In compliance with the Philippines Health and Safety protocol instructions, the Fallen Comrade was Directly Cremated on Wednesday the 3 of February 2021 at the Terra Santa Crematorium in Mabiga Mabalacat City.
The family will request the Rendering of Military Honors by VFW Post 2485 and the FRA San Miguel Branch 367 of San Antonio to Conduct the Two Bell Ceremony and an Inurnment Burial at Clark Veterans Cemetery, CFZ, Angeles City.

Alan Longno Talahuron – PO-2 US Navy (Marine Corps Corpsman) Retired* age 45 who passed away on Sunday Afternoon the 29th of March 2020 at St Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City after a brief illness. The Fallen Comrade was transferred to Angeles City.
Interment Burial was held at Clark Veterans Cemetery at CFZ in Angeles City on Friday the 19th June 2020
The Family of the Fallen Comrade is planning a Rendering of Military Honors in July of 2021

Michael Edward Maas – U.S. Army Veteran, age 39.
It is with Great Sadness that the American Legion Department of the Philippines Burial Consultant and with Tremendous assistance from The US Embassy that Fallen Comrade who passed away after a short illness on the 9th of January 2021, at the Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital, San Fernando Pampanga was buried as an Unclaimed Indigent in a Public Cemetery the location of the Burial is unknown. The Local Funeral in San Fernando would not honor or Approve the Family request to have the Fallen Comrade be Laid to Rest with a Direct Interment Burial at Clark Veterans Cemetery, CFZ, in Angeles City that has been approved by ABMC and Clark Freeport Burial Zone.
Currently all Request for assistance from Various Philippine Agency has failed or been rejected

Clyde Franklin Hovatter WO-4 U.S. Navy Retired age 77 passed away Shortly After his Arrival at the AUF Medical Center on Friday Evening the 31st of July 2020after a Short Illness.
Upon receipt of the LOA, the Fallen Comrade was cremated on the 21st of August 2020 at La Pieta Crematorium in Angeles City.
The Fallen Comrade, Has been Repatriated to the United States on the 23 April , and will have a Columbarium (Urn) Burial with Full Military Honors at Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville Florida.

Archie (Indy) Turner – US Army Veteran / Recipient of the Silver Star / Bronze Star / Purple Heart and Combat Infantry Badge, age 75 who passed away after a brief illness at Noon on Thursday the 30th of April at the Hospice of the Valley / Eckstein Center in Scottsdale Arizona.
Direct Cremation of the Fallen Comrade was at the Angels Crematorium and Burial in Mesa Arizona.
The Family of the Fallen Comrade is Planning an Inurnment Burial with Military Honors upon arrival in the Philippines

Peter Frank Carroll US Army Veteran / Gulf War Era Veteran, Age 48 passed away Unexpectedly on the 26th of March 2020 at the Chuba Tukuakukai Hospital, Higa Kitanakagusuku, Nakagami-Gun Okinawa.
Direct Cremation of the Fallen Comrade was held at the Okinawa Sosaijo, Okinawa City.
The Family of the Fallen Comrade is planning an Inurnment Burial with Military Honors in August of 2021 where the Fallen Comrade’s Father is currently Laid to Rest
