Message for U.S. Citizens: Crisis Resources Reminder for PTSD Awareness Month

June is Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD) Awareness Month. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, PTSD is a mental health condition that’s triggered by a terrifying event — either experiencing it or witnessing it. The American Citizens Services unit of the U.S. Embassy wants to ensure all members of the U.S. citizen community, particularly those who have served in the military, know that support and resources are available. It’s perfectly normal to face challenges, and reaching out for help is a strength, not a weakness.
