Fallen Comrade Report

Don passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 in Armando Garcia Medical Center, Angeles City, Philippines, he was 83 years old. His body was cremated on Thursday, Mar 25th and awaits burial with military honors (due to Covid-19 restrictions).

Don was Chapter 887 Treasurer at the time of his death. He was also a Past Commander of A.L. Post 123, Life member and Past Post Commander of VFW Post 2485 and MOC Pup Tent 15. DAV Chapter 3 Past Commander and Life Member, also Past President (Beagle #1) Beagles Organization. Don was a very long-time resident of Angeles City and is survived by his wife Francisca “Baby” Donaldson and several children. Updates to follow. May he rest in peace.

The motto of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) is “Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another“. The VVA is a congressionally chartered national organization that serves Vietnam-era veterans and their families. The organization was founded in Washington, D.C. in January 1978 by 15 Vietnam veteran advocates. The VVA has been a leader in advocating for the U.S. government to fulfill its obligations to veterans.
